The NOLA Partnership for Mental Health joins the C-LEARN team
The NOLA Partnership for Mental Health joins the C-LEARN team at LSUHSC-New Orleans to lead a project selected for an Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award. The funding is to be used to help develop a skilled community of patients and other stakeholders from across the entire healthcare enterprise and involve them in a meaningful way in every aspect of PCORI’s work. Participants learned about state budget issues, housing crises, and national health reform. They also engaged in a skills-building workshop on advocating for mental health services at the local, state, and national level.

our 1st Community mental health forum - In our own voice
Our conference featured a special presentation from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) New Orleans Chapter titled "In Our Own Voice". Two individuals shared their personal stories of living with mental illness and their journey to recovery. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion on current issues facing those living with mental illness in New Orleans.
